Hauly Cow

Let's be honest, can you remember the last time the AUD hit parity with the USD? No? That's OK I can't remember either.. I was still in my nappies.

So what are smart people doing? Buying funds? Investing in property? Shares maybe?
Yep probably all of the above.

What am I doing? Online shopping of course!

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer - Hydrating
I ran out of my MAC Prep & Prime which I really enjoyed and was on the hunt for a new primer. I have been looking at BECCA which was recommended by pixiwoo some time ago.
But then I found this Laura Mercier one on eBay for an absolute bargain!

The eBay seller is called makeupboutique

Laura Mercier Mineral Powder SPF15
The fabulous MsSparkleArkle had given me a sample of this a few months back and I fell in love with the ease of application and the glow it gives me. I have not really used powder foundation before and was a bit sceptic about the level of coverage. But I have to say this product is absolutely amazing. I also need to add that I have normal to dry skin and mineral powders are usually known to be unsuitable for dry skin - not this one though.

Another eBay bargain buy, seller is called 2raspberries

Nars Sheer Glow
I know this product is old news to most of you but I only just got my full size bottle today. I had myself matched up at Mecca and they gave me a sample in the colour Mt Blanc. I liked the finish but was not quite convinced yet. Then the lovely Jade gave me a sample in the shade Siberia and I was sold.
Still, I was not prepared to pay AUD 99.00 at Mecca though when the RRP is USD 42.00... So I searched online for a while before I finally found a really good deal on www.hqhair.com

They stock quite a bit of Nars, and also other brands like Benefit, Urban Decay and Too Faced. I did however find Nars was more competitively priced than the other brands.

In the past few weeks absolutely everybody on YouTube has been talking about this mascara.
So one day I had YouTube open in one window and eBay in the other one.. and it just happened...*click click*

The next day I realised that Priceline is actually already stocking this mascara and the price is not all that bad either. Doh

Good night John Boy

Summer Loving

It seems that the heat has finally hit Australia (yay!) and we get to unpack (or buy..) some more summery products.

With no further ado here are some of my current favourites:

First of all sunscreen is a must to keep that lovely skin of yours looking young and fresh (and of course to protect yourself from nasty illnesses)

I have dry to normal skin so the Neutrogena Hydrating Daily Face sunscreen lotion is a perfect mixture of sun protection and moisturiser.
I love the texture and feel of this product - it's not greasy and it absorbs straight away. I use this on my hands as well..

The Laura Mercier Illuminating Moisturiser gives an amazing glow and has surprisingly full coverage and long wear for a tinted moisturiser.

I find this product particularly nice when your skin looks a bit dull and/or pale. Or when you just can't be bothered working your full on foundation routine and just want to slap on some instant beauty (and who wouldn't want to do that?)

Set it with powder or wear it on its own.

Laura Mercier - Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer

Nothing beats some rosy glowy cheeks to enhance your natural beauty :) My latest obsession is the Smashbox Blush Rush in the colour Flush.

I find this works exeptionally well in combination with the Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer or even just on its own over some sun screen when you are on the way to the beach

This is also very suitable for pale skin tones - I am about NW20 right now.

Talking about glow...
Something would be up if I had no MAC product in my current favourites. MAC Soft And Gentle is a lovely peachy/bronze highlighter with golden undertones. I love wearing this on my cheekbones and in the inner corner of my eyes.
